International News: Pakistan is currently playing the game of balancing between two big superpowers, China and America. The Kashmir issue is once again at the top of its agenda. Army Chief Asim Munir went to China, and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar reached America. The purpose of both the visits is being said to be to improve Pakistan's deteriorating image and strengthen its place in the world. But the real question in this whole story is whether Pakistan's move will succeed or whether it will prove to be just another pretense.

Signs of trust received from China

Munir met top Chinese leaders during his visit to China. China openly said that it supports the UN Security Council resolutions on Kashmir. Pakistan presented it as its victory. ISPR issued a press note stating that the military and strategic relations between the two countries have become stronger than before. But the reality is that Pakistan owes more than $30 billion to China; in such a situation, its claim of independent policy seems hollow.

Ishaq Dar's mission in America

On the other hand, Ishaq Dar met US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Washington. There, Pakistan talked about increasing economic cooperation and investment with the US. Ishaq Dar assured the US that despite being close to China, Pakistan wants strong relations with Washington as well. He also raised the Kashmir issue in the meeting and tried to revive it in front of the world. But the US response remained cold, due to which Pakistan's expectations were not fulfilled.

Pakistan's expectations from Trump's stance

After Donald Trump became the president of America, Pakistan felt that the situation could change. Pakistan got less attention in Trump's first government, but this time he is making new equations in Asia. Pakistan believes that Trump's tough policies can also beto surround China. This is the reason why Pakistan wants to get closer to America again. However, this game is very delicate because both China and America are big enemies of each other.

Pakistan's old habit on Kashmir

Pakistan has been raising Kashmir on international forums for a long time. But now it does not get support due to India's diplomacy and global image. China's support also remains only on paper; in reality, Beijing looks at its own benefits. Pakistan knows that as long as the Kashmir issue remains alive, it will keep getting opportunities to capitalize on it in its politics. This is the reason why every big leader tries to draw the world's attention by taking the name of Kashmir.

Pakistan stuck between China and America

Today's reality is that on one hand Pakistan is indebted to China, and its economy is also dependent on it. On the other hand, it is asking for help from America, but Washington does not want to anger India. In such a situation, it is difficult for Pakistan to maintain balance. Experts say that this tug-of-war can make Pakistan more insecure. If it moves closer to China, America will be away, and if it moves closer to America, China will be angry.

How difficult is the road ahead?

In the coming times, tensions between America and China are going to increase further. In such an environment, how long will Pakistan be able to maintain the trust of both? This is a big question. By raising the Kashmir issue, it wants to get international sympathy, but now the circumstances have changed. The world knows Pakistan's old record on terrorism. In such a situation, if Pakistan wants to survive, it will have to change its policies honestly, not by balancing. Otherwise, its every plan will be exposed to the world.
